Alexander Fox from York who lost his 9 month old sister Clara aged 9 months in 2010 to pneumococcal meningitis, together with his girlfriend Caroline Eckhardt took part in the A J Bell Glasgow Half Marathon on Sunday 5th October and raised over £900 and still rising, for Spencer Dayman Meningitis Research. Clara’s mum Claire said “ Steve Dayman came to see us soon after we lost Clara, he genuinely cared about what we were going through and helped us make sense of everything. He is the reason why we continue to fundraise to support vital preventative research.”
